  About Us

The FundsReunited website was developed when it was identified that an estimated £20 billion lay dormant in the British financial system, money that belongs to individuals, not institutions.

The founders have between them, over 40 years experience in the financial services industry. All had experience of trying to trace assets of their own or assets of people deceased. The challenges and subsequent success in tracing the money identified a gap in the market which to date had not been catered for.

There has been until recently very little consumer awareness. With political attention this is changing, and there is now regular topical media exposure. Pressure is being placed on financial institutions for transparency in accounting practices and to proactively reunite dormant assets with their legitimate owners, and whilst the government plans to use ‘dormant account’ money for charitable causes, individuals can still claim what is legitimately theirs.

  • The nature of assets and reasons for being unclaimed are various
  • The motives for legitimate owners to reclaim such assets are obvious
  • The amount of unclaimed wealth by itself is a sufficient incentive for any individual to instigate a search for themselves, a member of their family or an estate

FundsReunited is the only resource that enables a search with banks, UK building societies, National Savings and Investments, shares, life assurance companies and a wide range of other asset classes, all searching live data.

Our aim is to empower people to find money that is theirs, even when they do not think any of it could be.
